It's been over half a century since the old Koondrook Wharf was dismantled. The wharf was constructed in 1882 and was an important trading stop for riverboat journeys. Now, though, in close proximity to where the old wharf was, a new one will be constructed.
WrightBarrat were engaged as the Consultant Civil and Structural Engineers. The Wharf will be located in a prime location right next to the Goods Shed & Apex Park, in the middle of town. The wharf maintains some historical components while providing mooring for recreational boat users, larger paddle steamers house boats as well.
